Projects

Learn more about Vectice Projects and its features.

What are Projects in Vectice?

Projects allow data science leaders to manage and monitor their team's workflows and gain visibility into data science initiatives.

Projects can reflect a typical Data Science process, including phases and the associated assets like code, datasets, models, and documentation. Data scientists can continue working with familiar tools while capturing milestones and reporting key findings to colleagues and stakeholders in Vectice.

You can define multiple projects within each workspace and multiple phases and assets within each project.

Project Features

FeaturesDescription

Phases

Phases are project milestones or objectives used to organize projects and initiatives, enforce best practices, enable consistency, and capture knowledge.

Project overview

Snapshot of the overall project, including the project's owner, details, and status, along with the phases' progress and status.

Project templates

Templates are a great way to start your project. The default project template provides a pre-filled project based on the CRISP-DM methodology.

Datasets registration

Datasets can be registered to your project via the Vectice API, from various data source systems, where the dataset's origin, version, and resource metadata are stored in the Vectice UI.

Models registration

Models can be registered to your project via the Vectice API, where the model's origin, version, and resource metadata are stored in the Vectice UI.

Duplicate projects

Duplicating a Project creates a new Project while preserving all the Phases, Documentation, and Steps in the new Project. Iterations, models, and

datasets are not copied to the new Project.

Move projects

Moving a project to another workspace moves all project artifacts (i.e. phases, iterations, models, and associated datasets). You can only move projects to workspaces where you are a member.

⚠️ Transfer Ownership

Project owners and Workspace Admins can transfer project ownership to another Workspace member. Only Workspace Admins can undo this action.

Things you should know

  • You can customize the default project template to fit your organization's needs. For example, you can create project templates for Analytics, Operations, Machine Learning, and more.

  • The project statuses will automatically update as your project phases progress.

  • You can find your Project ID and Workspace ID under the Project details on your project's Overview page.

Projects Best Practices

  • When assigning a Project Owner, this person should be the point of contact for project-related questions or concerns.

How to set up a Project?
